Cars are all frozen as are the paths where the sleet / wet snow briefly melted. So a good foundation for snow cover.

Latest BBC forecasts improved for G Manchester area tomorrow morning. Showers further NE than previously, not just reserved for Cheshire, with a few affecting the city during the morning rush hour.

Hey @CreweCold! How are you? Here we are again!! haha.

Tonight if goes to plan should be excellent for us and selfishly especially me. I live near Audley and the extra altitude helped last winter with the quick fall of snow we had last winter.  To put people's mind at ease, it only literally took a few heavy showers to create a covering last year.

If the track of Sunday's low stays on track it could be a memorable event, not even thinking about it as it could easily be too far north or south.

You lucky sod...It's like a different world up those parts...I used to see the difference the extra 50-100m altitude makes when travelling up the A500!

Yeah, even higher than that I think! haha. If you look east from Crewe you can see Mow Cop but to the right are some smaller hills, I'm one of those! haha.  Last winter was my first and it was a super duper winter but that one northwesterly we had gave us a good covering, whilst in Crewe it was slushy.

This was the morning at the top of Alsagers Bank (5 mins walk from me) early the next morning. Hoping for the same tonight! haha

Yeah you'll see some. It's shocking how bad Crewe is for snow though. You'd think we were 5m asl rather than 55!
