Falmouth - gateway to the east

I had a stroll around Falmouth yesterday, in particular the docks, marina and maritime museum end. What I hadn't realised until I got there is that it is Sea Shanty weekend and people were there in their droves to hear sundry groups belting out the shanty's

I love Falmouth, went there for the first time in March. A very charming town with a variety of vistas- the deep water harbour and the beaches, impressive buildings and a mild climate. I can't imagine there are too many frosts there at all. I noticed the palms were particularly numerous there and there were a few healthy date palms.

Nice to see the place with summery blue skies.
