Might have to re-name this place 'Snow-on-Trent'.

I SERIOUSLY think that the Met Office were hoping to avoid this one, could be country wide disruption from snow coming up.:help::laugh:

From a snow potential perspective i think these are the best runs i have seen- for the pennines in particular- crikey we get clobbered thur night as welll!

They both look similar at 96 so this is coming into reliable now.. ok not 100% but the odds are getting shorter on potentially a memorable event-

00z runs are a huge upgrade !! (please EC don't ruin it)

I still think it won't be nailed for a few days yet.

I can't even work out if I am under the GFS' Cheshire Gap streamer much of Friday. Appear to be on the north eastern edge of it after an early blast in the morning. Then again, the GFS snow charts are rarely reliable.

Complete novice at reading these charts and you are local to me,  do you think bury and Rochdale are going to get a decent amount?

Look at the GFS00Z snow charts thur night- yes tomorrow :)

No chart available for the selected hour. Many charts start at 3 hours ahead, so if you have 0 hours selected try stepping forward or selecting a later hour.

yes if thats right  or anywhere near right yes you will!!

Looks awesome for someone, as I said earlier though, if we miss out, we will miss out on the cols side not the mild.

If i were being picky i'm not that keen on ukmo 144...and GFS rapidly goes down hill.

But if we get decent snow events tomorrow night and sunday i really won't care.

I just really hope EC looks similar to the other 2 at 96-120.

Not holding my breath tomorrow, we are exposed to a WNWerly more than a NWerly so a very limited window of opportunity before PPN dries up, if you remember dec 2010 second cold spell, it was only when wind veered round we got 3 inches, places further West got huge totals, places further south exposed to Cheshire gap are best pick tomorrow.

I was under the impression wnw was absolutely the best direction for us- i think at minimum we will get a couple of cm...
