I'm not worried, well I am a bit, think I went to warm. Temps will nose div soon and I feel stay on the cool side for a while. Even the gfs isn't warm, just not synoptic winter wonderland.

There's some data missing from the last few days, so I wouldn't trust the 6.4C on the site completely yet.
With the GFS, the 06z has the CET around the high 4s by day 10, and toward the low to mid 4s by the end of the first 2 weeks, which means close to the 81-10 average. With the MO outlook going for a warm up in the second half of the month, an above average finish currently seems most likely.

Sunny Sheffield at 5.9C +1.3C above normal. Rainfall 21mm 25.9% of average. The lack of an major cold being shown in the models at the moment suggest any slight warm with result in easily getting above average. However a long way to go.

I was finally able to post some scoring for the December precip contest, the amount was 113.7 mm and top score goes to Timmytour. The entire scoring can be seen in the scoring thread (see link in my post at the end of the December thread).
