Still snowing in Manc CC, no way near enough to actually stick on anything as yet though and it looks like the sky is getting lighter!

Euro 4 is not expecting any snowcover for the Manchester area and I think it will be right.

Yeah think so too K, think all that stupid cloud last night didnt help us- no frost here this morning.

Light snow all morning settled in patches but nowhere near heavy enough, dont think there will even be a fulll dusting here- will be very cold tonight tho.

Snow more or less has stopped here,  although patchy in parts, in general there is a decent covering on the ground in respect you can walk in it and not leave a full in foot print. Would say around 3 to 4CMS on favoured surfaces at a guess.

Looks like I was one of the lucky ones its fair to say.

Yes, the cloudy night is always bad news before a snow event.

This is more like it. Quite heavy now with proper flakes. Ground is wet, although we are not far above freezing and with a little evaporative cooling we could go below.

It' a funny one because the path on the street is properly covered yet the pavement in my garden has that more slushy type look even though the ground was white so it's quite variable to say the least.

Had a walk around and the town centre was a slushy mess as you expect but even the beach around here had a covering of snow on it which is a rare event around here!

What's coming down is not sticking it's just making the ground wet

If I'm reading this right you're the gardener for someone? Isn't it your call whether the weather's bad enough not to bother turning up? Worst case scenario you turn round?

Well she was worried about me getting cold! It’s not garden maintenance it is a garden design job. Gives me a chance to go a walk in the snow!
