Snow showers after dark until around 3am pushing up from the south coast, one to watch through the day, just picked up on it.

Hi good morning Monday good peeps ?. Hope you all had a nice weekend. I am on my commute again to Milton Keynes a very cold start in Walthamstow frost on the cars.

When I saw what the talk was on the models in the MOD thread over the  weekend really felt disheartened and and sad although I did not have my expectations too high. Since then I have not seen what has happened overnight and I am determined not to look in case I spoil my Monday morning, but having said that did look at the met office update and it did open my eyes a bit. Possibility of hill snow and sleet at the back edge of the system passing through us. Also Friday into Saturday rain or snow brushing the south. This was a lot different to what I expected for next weekend according to the comments on the MOD thread yesterday it was more like dry weather and 9 to 10 degrees. Has  there been a change overnight is someone listening to us up there.

Anyway wishing you all a lovely Monday and a great start to the week.

All the best

regards ????

Sorry forgot to post but this was the met update ?

London & South East England

Headline:

Cold with some sunshine. Showers possible later.

Today:

Starting cold and crisp, with lengthy sunny periods. There is an increasing chance of seeing some showers, these most likely in southern coastal districts late in the day, falling as rain but with a chance of some hail and thunder. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Tonight:

Breezy during the evening, with scattered rain or sleet showers possible for a time. Generally drier but windy through the early hours, however rain may reach the west by dawn. Minimum temperature 0 °C.

Tuesday:

Generally windy. Brightest in the east first thing, however rain will make erratic progress eastwards, turning to sleet and perhaps hill snow for a time before clearing into the evening. Maximum temperature 6 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Wet, windy and mild Wednesday after a cold start. Brighter but colder again Thursday with some showers. Friday starting fine, although rain and perhaps snow may graze the south later.

-1c and frosty this morning, still with yesterday evenings snow grains sitting on the shady bit of the shed roof.

Not too disheartened by the lack of snow showing on the models - a read of the strat thread shows we shouldn’t expect anything to show in the models as a result of the SSW until tomorrow (I think...lots of very complicated chatter in there!)
