Just starting this for folk to see the photos that get quickly lost in the regional thread.

I'll start with a few from Glen Cannich from last weekend.

From Loch Oich and above Loch Lochy today.  Loch Oich - the last one here - is especially photogenic because it's often very still, almost glassy.

Unfortunately it just shows how tame the deer are due to winter feeding by the estate. Which in turn is a symptom of an estate maintaining an unsustainably high deer population so they can pull in more paying shooters. Money trumps environmental management, as usual.

Some from by the A835 this afternoon...

Beinn Dearg across Loch Glascarnoch - you can just make out where the ice sheets have been pushed up by the wind

Loch Droma from its dam - crikey it was cold here!

Some iciness right by the roadside

And Rogie Falls with the rocks plastered with a mix of snow and ice.

A bit different from the other photos on the thread in that it is very much urban. This was taken in the Cowcaddens area of Central Glasgow, early afternoon on Wednesday 28th February 2018, before the red warning was scheduled to start. Typically you would clearly see the M8 motorway viaduct in the middle distance there, and this area would be quite busy with pedestrians and, gives a bit of an indication of the atmosphere in the city at the height of the blizzard that day.
