A phenomenal heat record in Germany

So hot were the past five months in Germany! The old record from 2003 was beaten by a full 1.6 °C! Scale on the left shows the temperature deviation from the first 30 years of the record, the color curve the data smoothed over 11 years. H/t Stefan Rahmstorf‏

The warming in Central Europe is breathtaking in the worst possible way. The climate has changed so much here in the last twenty years. This year summer that started in April and is still going on strong in September has been too much for me. I'm buying A/C next year.

Brother lives and works in Bulgaria for last 15 years, he no longer worries about the long cold winters as they aren't any more!!
