Pretty sure the storm is dying out now... but that was incredible, I don't know what else to say.

Having been in Florida just once, the Storms are amazing over there and you get that classic Stormy feeling before them as well.

The storms are the only good thing about summer in Florida. Hard to sit outside without being attacked by bugs and you can't do any vigorous exercise outside due to how sapping the humidity is.

I spent a year of my degree there, although up in Gainesville in the north it's actually hotter than further south during the summer and far less breeze than on the coast.

Another incredible storm has just developed here. Torrential rain and frequent CGs as I type.

I went to Florida for 7 days in September 2019 having been in Nevada and Arizona beforehand, and was very disappointed to only see lightning once, and that was over 30 miles away to the west (I was in Delray Beach). I actually saw more lightning over the desert of Nevada and visited the Grand Canyon during a thunderstorm. 😅

A return to the thunderstorm state is long overdue.

Have run the last two mornings and run well in the warmth, sat outside the entire time in the evenings. This evening it was 33c at 8pm and it’s the ‘coldest’ 33C I’ve ever experienced and not a little bug in site. Sept through April must be not even an effort here.

Must be an unusual spell then as I spent pretty much the whole of August there and it was unpleasant to say the least- you're the first person I've ever heard say the heat in Florida is cool-feeling- everyone else says the opposite.

I first went to Florida in July '92 and as a burgeoning storm addict I was in heaven! Enjoy your storms fellow netweather nuts 😉

I don't think I've shared this here, but here's an image I captured of a double (?) CG from a few days ago. I'm placed SW of Orlando.
