Yeah. Surprised temps are rising again. Almost 24C (was 22C an hour ago) on my thermometer outside with 75% humidity, yuck!

Satellite imagery reveals growing cumulus in the vicinity of the northern Chilterns around Aylesbury and Luton, and some radar echoes have appeared in that area too. Elsewhere, quite a few sferics have also appeared in the Harlow area

Was just able to see some of those before more low level crud arrived.

That storm has just spent all day back building across the Cambridgeshire fens!

Regarding later on, a number of models show an increase in Mid level CAPE approaching the EA coast overnight. That will no doubt help with elevated activity later on, I.e that stuff off the Essex coast at the moment.

Is it me or is that Cambridgeshire cell moving fast as a tortoise?! Every time I've refreshed the radar it's just lingering there!!!!!!

Anyone on here underneath it must be flooding surly? Been listening to it all day right on the edge.

Storm has developed out of nowhere in N London.

As the metoffice said storms could pop up absolutely any where from the Midlands South and that is proving correct so far

Just opened the window and the air has that warm muggy smell again. Feels like the juice is topping up again

Some of the raincasts suggest downpours along the south coast tonight. !!

Yeah baby, looks like things are on the turn judging by the last couple of radar returns

Might come to nothing, but it's a start

It happens almost every time storms are forecast, if they don't appear exactly as the models predicted, you get the usual "it's all gone belly up" posts

Give it time folks give it time...

Shot gun thunder and CG lightning spotted off that Epsom cell in Effingham. Best boom all day!
