Little further north than runs earlier in day the Wareham snow shield under threat?

No chance! If precip falls from the sky here tomorrow, it'll be 100% rain!

Not necessarily

Check the WBFL.

When you've lived here as long as I have, you'll know exactly what'll fall from the sky. These little features don't bring snow for areas around here. In any case, it doesn't particularly float my boat.

It's either an all in Easterly to cool things down and dry everything out, then a proper channel low, or nothing at all!

Temperature still not below freezing. In spite of being about as far as you can possibly get from any coast in the UK, setting aside the total aversion to any kind of snowfall this place now seems to have developed some sort of maritime climate.

Definitely some sort of snow repulsion going on according to 24 hour accumulation:

In this instance 'missed by 50 miles' doesn't feel so bad as it will be breaking the current run of x3 'missed by 5 miles' in 2 days.

Yeah just saw this forecast. The graphic did look nearly identical to the 15z... but he did say there was uncertainty as you say.

Also mentions the chance of snow showers pushing down from the North on NYE as shown in this graphic:

Probably wont come to much but should be a tad less marginal if it does make it down here.

Oh dear. I'd better brace myself for a fourth episode of 'missed by 5 miles' in the space of 4 days.

Steadily getting milder here, the temperature dropped to 2.5°C, now up at 5.0°C and the wind is picking up. Apparently we are meant to be getting  a frost haha

There is no question, if that front clips the Isle of Wight or above, it will fall as rain, just to warm for snow. Unless there is a cold pool in amongst the precipitation

Well if it’s just gonna end up as cold rain it can stay south. Had enough rain to last a lifetime reminding me of the awful winter we had last winter. Thank goodness things are looking up weather wise in the weeks ahead.

Well it didn't drop very low last night with air and ground frost. This morning I had a good scraping session on the car and the door were frozen following yesterdays rainfall...overnight low of 0.5°C at: 08:36 and some decent frost patterns on the car roof..looking to the west I see, hmm crystal ball went cloudy then for a moment...rain inbound...

And there you go, it’s a bust. Warning shrunk and downgraded to ice following rain.

Why does that not surprise me. Still may see a few flakes possibly maybe hopefully wishful thinking

Well if it won’t snow then any precip can stay away. Need things to dry out!

A light frost to start at -0.4C and now 1.5C although rather cloudy.
