Fingers crossed! Having briefly got up to 4C here, it's now raining and down to 3.6C. 'Just keep going... just keep going'

Raining now and 5.5c, think it's not going to change for me. Further inland, and some elevation should be good.

It's between 3-4c here . Spitting with sleet I think

Heavy, cold rain in Longwell Green now.

Oh well, into the next pointless chase it is.

Cold rain here but actually looks like it's getting heavier on the radar as it goes south?

I'm still an optimist that we could get a few flakes in the middle or backend of this .

Temp now down to 3.5c & dew point down to +2c.

To be fair though, we are mighty desperate to be chasing some very back edge wet flakes.

Roll on Spring & storm season.  They've been better in recent years.

We are up at a balmy 6.0°C here with a dewpoint of 3°C. What cold spell? We haven't even recorded a frost here over the Christmas period, been too much precipitation around, and it's all been rain.

2.5c here and rain. I’ve seen heavy snow fall with the temp at 4c before but not when it’s clear there’s something warmer up above. Clearly not something affecting the Midlands northwards. Two days, two lots of snow.

What's your dew point?  Freezing level (WBFL) probably not low enough either.

I think I would’ve preferred a continuation of this morning’s sunshine.

March 2018 and February 2019 give me hope that it's still possible to see a lot of snow down here. Maybe it's preference and from an IMBY perspective but those months I just mentioned were better than 2010.... which always gets talked about as the holy grail.

Apologies, I don’t have a weather station giving a dew point.

Here's a snapshot of tomorrow's snow event..

I’d better go wax the sledge then. I don’t want to call tomorrow’s event a bust but it’s sure looking that way. Hope I’m wrong.

Can confirm that the band that passed over Gloucester produced some enormous flakes for about 15 mins. Nice to see
