Missed most of action last night however just as it was getting dark some cumulonimbus started developing overhead and gave some light showers-could also see huge clouds to my NW. Almost fell out of bed at 2330 ish when rumbling occured :!: However it was a jet plane :)

This morning a few showers around 0700 then its been sunny.

Location=Westbury, Wilts

Temp=20c and much fresher now, reached a humid 24c earlier

Wind=Brisk westerly

cloud=Cirrus, can see large cumulonimbus far to my N and E which

looking at the radar are doing their business.

I reckon the front passed through around midday as since then it's turned fresher and breezy.

Meso you shouldn't take the mickey, 'hatfever' is a very serious and often life threatening condition. I should know, I've had it.

It's where your barnet will spontaneously combust lest you wear a woolley hat for at least 2 weeks solid. You cannot take it off, not even to wash your hair, but it causes a rash on your head and a mild fever due to the wool creating a lot of heat on your head, so you are prone to chills etc and you get flu like symptoms. Take the hat off too soon, and well, my friend, I'd hate to be the one cleaning up the mess.

The rash and fever are the most common forms of side effects from this type of condition, hence it is so called, 'hatfever'

Highcliffe: hot from the little sun peeping through, warm from the air anyway, cool from the wind
