Don't take those accumulation charts as gospel. I think hit and miss streamers are a possibility for our region in the next few days. Some of us may get the jackpot and get several inches of snow, others may barely get a dusting - even if 10-20 miles away.

Very poor really should have been lower this side of things by now! Considering the warmer air was meant to hang on for longer in the South East.

Been 3.4c to 3.6c since 9am this morning.
Temp has just started to drop, 2.9c now.
The NW wind is picking up too, some 25mph gusts in the last hour. 
It is clouding over now after light cloud and blues sky.
Plenty of cloud heading from the East. 
We are getting a few flakes now and again in the wind here.

Sunny spells this afternoon after a cloudy morning. Feeling cold in the breeze but out of the breeze you can feel a bit of warmth from the sun. 3.6°C

Really hope this doesn't turn into another March 2012 or 13 when ever it was. Trying to block that cold spell from my memory.  Cold cloudy and dry

Temp dropped to 2C here now, very fine flakes blowing around in the wind, bitter out!!!

3c at the moment and quite gusty. Doesn't feel particularly cold although tonight it will get colder with the possibility of an ice day tomorrow.

Long range forecasting isn't something I pay much interest in.  I find it pretty futile for a climate like the UK's where micro detailed atmospheric changes can have big ramifications on surface detail.

Met Office/Ian Fergusson seem to think colder conditions will dominate for much of Feb though, with only short milder interludes.  We will see.

*We never do well from a Westerly here as the temperatures rise too quickly

*We never do well from a Southerly here unless it' SUMMER!
