Absolutely Agree...I live not to far away from the Beautiful Severn Estuary,  the Severn Bore is one of the wonders of the world...☺

And proposals for a tidal power facility in the Bristol Channel have been on various tables for, say, 20 years or so i reck.

Succesive UK governments, of all colours, have kicked any long-term energy policy/plan all the way down the road, for decades imho.

Edit: In fact, just looked back at news reports on the subject, and it seems that approx every 5 years it raises its head😁
