I think you may get something better in about an hour, Alexis.

Was just a little better, still distant, but a little closer. Nice anvil visible now, with booby's.

We had a day of grey/drizzle with the odd heavy downpour here and there. Very muggy too, indoor house temperature was showing 28.5!

Did manage a quick walk to the lake to see the resident swan and friends earlier this evening.

3 rounds of thunder/lightning here in Bexhill, mostly comprised of IC and CC bolts, but also some impressive CGs that repeatedly struck the Channel and Pevensey Bay area. Incredibly humid during the afternoon, dew point must've touched 20c at one point, and almost an inch of rain fell  in just a couple of  hours. Fairly good event I'd say, especially considering it was largely unexpected (although my senses tingled upon seeing the convection form west of Brighton). It was my favorite kind of training convection stalled boundary scenario.

Similar to June 2016 in some ways, although no huge overnight MCS as a finale like that one had! A 7.0/10 from me, would've been even better if it had occurred overnight visibility wise!

Been a lovely day, sunny and warm.

Might drizzle a bit soon. Dare I say the garden could do with some decent rain!

Crikey! Huge bright flash, so bright I saw it in the shower, and a big crash of thunder.

What passes for a massive storm in Norfolk these days...

A lovely thunderstorm, the second of the day, came from this cell over Bournemouth.

Great day for towering cumulus clouds. Always a wonderful spectacle.

Shower with large drops

This shower was the highlight of the day here. It was otherwise dry with plenty of sunshine, but with Cb's on the distance.

Had a short sharp shower earlier with a rumble.

It's been such a poor year for storms where I am
