Highest maxima 2022 season

With many speculating on potential record heat this summer in recent days - thanks to some of the GFS  output namely, please use this thread to discuss thoughts on possible extreme heat, should it seem likely to verify, as well as report on highest max achieved so far in the summer.

Sorry for its belateness - should really have started in mid May, in some years May has brought the highest temp of the year!

Use it to speculate what you think will be the highest temp. Not sure current record is about 32 degrees. I'll go 34 degrees Heathrow some point in July.

I'm not a fan of major heat, here thankfully we rarely see maxima more than 28 degrees, 30 degrees is quite hard to achieve, in an average year, we can expect just a handful of days that are above 25 degrees, such is the NW-SE divide!
