A lovely morning out at my favoured watering hole in Old Hill (10am opening)

Nice to see a partially clear sky for once during a partial eclipse.....which was good to share, via the viewfinder, with some off-school kids and regulars

One observation we made....There wasn`t a bird in the sky for the first hour of the eclipse! ( kind of eerie

a snap from the maximum

I watched the partial solar event on YouTube as I don't have the necessary equipment to see it. I had a very frustrating time reading very basic questions on the YouTube livestream like when will it start, the location of the Greenwich observatory from people in the UK,  and asking will it be seen in the UK, Scotland, Wales, India and other parts of the world.  Answered their queries and posted links where they can find the time of the partial eclipse from.  People not understanding  the difference between partial eclipse and a total eclipse and wondering why it is taken so long and not interested in what the livestream presenters were saying.  Many thought that the eclipse would be begin instantly and not understanding that its a slow process.
