The Final Text and has been agreed too.

Unfortunately even though there was quite a large push from countries like the UK,European Union,US and India to phase out/down all fossil fuels it wasn't enough.

Russia, Iran and Saudi Arabia to name a few pushed back on this.

The result? It's the same as last year's COP26 with it being a phase down with coal.

However, a historical first is being that a Loss And Damage Fund will be created, some countries have been calling this for years if not decades.

I've just been listening to a Climate Denier (UKIP-BNP no less) wittering on about what is and isn't known about Earth's climate... He even went on to 'explain' (as if anyone properly cognizant of the situation could possibly think otherwise!) that the climate has been changing throughout Earth's history...😱 And (shock horror) some naughty people, in Pakistan, have been cutting down trees!

Talk about false equivalence?🥶

But then, understanding climate is not easy; IMO requires a deep knowledge of myriad feedback mechanisms? And a full understanding of feedback-mechanisms is well above my pay-grade:😄

And, no, I do not believe Earth to be a living organism; that's New Age tosh. Just like all those silly tomes from back in the late 1980s/early 1990s that had 'Quantum' before whatever it was the authors were wibbling about... Quantum Cookery?🤔

It sure where to post this or even if it’s been listed before, but it’s well worth a read.  This report implies that achieving Net Zero will be unaffordable for the UK….

It's alright - the earth will just wipe us all out like it's done previously and something else will take over 😁

Basically it's too difficult and so sod it let's not even try and instead try to adapt to it.

Fine that will work for the UK as even if things do get more extreme we have the money and position geographically to adapt, but screw all those countries in the tropics that will be literally unliveable due to wet bulb temps.

Also Wikipedia used multiple times as sources, come on!
