A dry night but fairly cloudy

Dry and fairly cloudy with rain showing not that far to the west; a cold night earlier with a low of 2.3 C,? ground frost, now on 3.8 C

Most of the night was dry, with clear intervals during the evening, but fog developed by 2330 and became thick during the early hours. The fog lifted around 0500 and there was rain by 0630, the rain heavy and persistent for several hours and accompanied by hill fog between 0830 and 0930. The rain has stopped in the last few minutes and it's beginning to brighten up.

Clear spells forming last evening allowing for a ground frost to form. Cloud increased early hours bringing rain around dawn, the rain moderate for a short time. A clearance arrived to the west of this location mid morning.

Has been quite a lovely day here after a very wet start.  Temperature 8c.  Wind 14mph SSW.  Pressure 998.  I note the Met Office has a weather warning out for my area tomorrow for wind and rain.

Cloudy start very murky then heavy rain for a few hours then clearing leaving sunny spells at the end of the day.
