This event is pegged to be another eye opener for the USA climate change deniers.

Wave after wave of precipitation ir 3 days driven by high winds in top of last weeks exceptional rainfall for the West coast of the USA.

The one redeeming factor is the high snow levels should start to reduce the ongoing drought situation.

That is an amazing amount of rain for an area that has been pretty arid over the last few years. This winter is definitely seeing some extremes all over the world...USA storms ..Japan record snow levels and sadly European winter heatwave with daily and monthly records broken.

To be fair, it's a well known feature of the areas climate. Produces incredible snowfall in the Sierra Nevada.

I've read about it for decades now.

Parts of California have already received 6-8 inches of rain, and that number is expected to double (or more) today and Wednesday.

Yes true one bad weather event doesn't mean it's climate change or people are denying that it is. We just don't know from one event in that area of the world, you'll always get people on both sides of the climate argument unfortunately until the end of time. And the problem is everything is becoming sensationalised nowadays. Bomb this and snow bomb that along with everything else in our lives that can be influenced by the media. Most people didn't see pictures of rivers flooding in a tiny town and other destruction years ago because there was no smartphones and pictures put on social media as there was none of it, instantly it's now there for billions to see giving more of a shock and nudge factor. We just see more now and this can impact mental health for a fair few people. Possibly too much information these days?

Totally Agree. I've done some research on the Dust Bowl Years. It was the biggest mass migration in the US history to date. I wonder what sensational scaremongering would do to the general public today if they had the communications we have today?  The media would have us believe it would be the end of the World if something like that happened today...😂
