Hello all

So I was wondering what is the difference between a regular spanish plume setup and a modified spanish plume?

Is the forcing stronger with a modified spanish plume?

From what I have been able to gather, some of the most violent thunderstorms in the UK and Ireland take place under modified spanish plume setups. I believe June 28 2012 was such a setup. I’ve thought that August 31 2005 was another example, although not sure about the latter I can’t find much information on August 31 2005, other than the fact that the August 31 2005 event resulted in some of the most violent thunderstorms I have ever experienced in Ireland.  there hasn’t been anything similar on that scale in years, with a few exceptions.
