Quick development on the recent satellite to the east of London. I am thinking that area may be the breeding ground.

Midlands usually does quite well from storms that form in that area of the SouthEast where they are forming now. Seen it many times. So if it happens again, a whole a lot more people might be in the firing line later on.

Yes, same here, total cloud cover and spotting with rain most of the morning! It may burn off, fingers crossed

Same in Stroud.. it’s pretty humid and warm considering. But need a few hours of strong sun soon I feel!

The dying precip over some parts of the south midlands etc is just putting a lid on any convection,  but there's still plenty of the day left....😊

The channels favourite game is give us cloudy left overs to ruin our chances!

Storms didnt fire until, what, 4-5 yesterday? What's everyone worrying about. You don't tend to get diurnal thunderstorms until later afternoon at the earliest.

Just heard thunder to my North. Looks like there is a storm but nothing over my location.

Looks to be just south east of Dorking

No cumulus about, just a lot of mid level-cloud, very humid now.

Explosive development in the Crawley area on radar. @StormLoser might be in with a shot if the back end develops more as it's heading towards Reigate

Diurnal thunderstorms usually don't fire up until late afternoon, plenty of time yet. The cells popping up around London will be the catalyst for more along that whole corridor from there NW up towards Manchester within the next few hours. The storms in Wales are not the main event. All in good time.

Likely surfaced, will stall over the sea and just spread cloud in.

Something has blown up in amongst this lot, just to my SE. Focusing on the shower SW of Rochester which if it goes like the Surrey/Sussex cells should come this way. Literally nothing to heavy downpour in a 5 min radar update - please oh please!!
