Morocco - New National Max Temp

Looks like the coastal resort of Agadir has broken the Morocco all time record with 49.7C beating the 49.6C from Marrakesh in 2012.

Actual max has actually reached 50.2C

The city station recorded 50.4C and ties the all time max for Africa in August.

Very late reply (sorry!) but just seen this - but extraordinary that it occurred at a coastal location.

In fact I found it strange that many of the most extreme temps during the summer in the Mediterranean area occurred at decidedly maritime locations (e.g. Sardinia, Sicily) rather than inland.
