I bloody hope so. Good storms last night so this would be a nice extra if something else were to develop

That one thats popped up just north of Nottingham may be worth a watch.

No way we'll beat the Lincolnshire storm that's just ace.  But possible next round for the North East are these 2 areas.

Number 1 not electrified yet but 2nd area rumbling away.

Might get another shot and for areas in between too.

That 2nd one has built quite nicely, but, its sat on the wrong side of the hills for the moment. Seems to be hammering the upper Aire Valley

I love how the areas that usually hog the storms are asking for more 🤣

And why not?

Who nicked my thunderstorms?!!  Faded out, they did. What a cheek.   ☹️

I hope some of you are having better luck than me.

It seems to me that the storm that hit the Wash is building again behind it,

Told you all with my forecast, the southern storm will be the strongest. Given best inflow and less restricted moisture and low-level vorticity. Absolutely not surprised that a Supercell happened. Not much here but cool looking skies.

Will upload pictures later.

Hi, any hope for a change to something stormy in the SW into the evening/overnight, or is that over for us now? Certainly looks that way at present!

All calmed down here now a lull you could say as I see more developments in the Peterborough area (almost a nursery for home grown stuff that heads my way)

current temp 27oC drop of 1oC

humidity 62% rise of 2%

Well, the Fens and South Lincolnshire have often been referred to as the UKs Midwest. 😄

Yep indeed that’s true, apparently more funnel clouds and tornados per square mile than america, just many are small brief affairs no one really notices them

Yeah I absolutely nailed it too. Literally my best forecast ever. Saved hundreds of lives, probably.

The Ilford tornado I’m predicting for 9pm might be threat to life as well - best for anyone in the area to find a 24 hour shoe shop to shelter in. Failing that just stay in and don’t wander about for no reason.

Not gotten any storms down here in Horsham but got that classic rain that indicates instability.

Big droplets not very heavy and also warm

I give up today. Headed to Brigg to intercept the cell heading up from Lincoln and it died out just before getting to me.

I can't see today coming off for me so off back home

Intense storm from 4.01pm until 4.40pm over Lincolnshire, Boston area. Constant lightning and thunder. I've never seen a storm as active as this one. Added a photo of the shelf cloud as it loomed overhead at the start of the storm Polish_20230910_164031279.thumb.jpg.579455ae0f845293a6f2cbc023811c6f.jpg

I drove through the storm from its formation near Peterborough up to around Boston. It was a scary drive, with torrential rain, frequent lightning (CC / CG), gusty winds and a 'green' charged atmosphere. I videoed the 'chase' but as usual, the video really didn't do it justice. There was incredible energy all around. I may try and splice some clips together.
