Weather-history Is that the 15C line over south-west England? Would love to know what that would produce today.

Such a warm airmass for so early in the year, quite incredible. Still cannot find anything that warm for March and April, the earliest dates of something similar to that is 1st May 2005 with about 15C on a Herstmonceux ascent and 14th May 1992 with 16.2C on a Camborne ascent since records began in 1980.

I dare say that if that happened today ,they would blame climate change for it !

I doubt that very much, but you'll believe whatever you want to believe, eh? 👍

Well if the same set up occured today it would probably have warmer uppers and would break close the upper teens/low twenties at the surface instead of the mid teens and that indeed would be to blame on zah big cee cee!

WYorksWeather well if the conditions had been just right and hadn't been cloudy it would have easily been a record warm day ....with temperatures above 20 c !☺

WYorksWeather with those synoptics back then,  the temperature would of passed 20c/68f . It's very plausible given the right conditions. ...☺

ANYWEATHER You can say that about any day in any year: if this, if that = whatever we want. But facts are facts. 🤔
