Hopefully the one near Bristol will be the start of things kicking off

I normally use the AROME as my main go to and then see how other high res models compare.

I'll be heading out shortly. There are two focus areas for me from looking at the charts available. N. Wales into the NW of England and the West Midlands pushing up the Western side of the Peak District. Due to where I live I'll be concentrating on the Midlands possibilities. Hopefully it comes off as planned.

LetItSnow! Same here in Surbiton, where it's very hot when the sun is out - quite frequently - and the skies have had that stormy look to them since this morning. I mentioned to Eagle Eye, if we're too far east for the main storms, maybe the French ones can pick up some energy in our area.... if they make it this far west...

 Reefseeker

Latest runs keeping the storms right along the French coast. A few showers overnight but they look weak and rather unthreatening so I don't think we'll see anything at all unfortunately.

Some lovely bubbling cumulus just south of Birmingham, tell tale signs of the cap weakening, keeping an eye on that Bristol cell. Further development looking likely.

Well as we’re not a warning here in the SE I’ll expect the mother of all storms later. Never seem to do well if in a warning area at the moment.

Up to 25.7c despite MO only predicting 21c

more cells now developing now south of Cardiff, can see explosive development starting to initiate to my south west from Cheshire, towering cumulus. All of this should organise into big storms and gradually move NNE

Some stormy looking clouds bubbling up here now coming off the Bristol Channel, those north of us will probably get some storms once they build more.

Cheshire Freeze more than likely, might be ok for a distant lightning display especially if they persist after dark which the models seem to suggest could...
