Dreaming of a Dry, Warm Weekend... Is It Possible?

The weather patterns are shifting, back to a more usual setup. Rain for the northwest and warmth with something drier for the southeast. Not as windy as last weekend either.

I don't want to jinx it, but sun's trying to break through here, now.

Been quite a chilly cloudy day here currently 13c very bland.

Yes indeed, @Jo Farrow; cheered me right up! I drove across much of the south east today in low cloud and mizzle, so here's hoping.

Much nicer here today with lots of sun and already warmer than yesterday at 14c.

Beautiful day here, just about 20. We are having the first BBQ of the year.

For the first time this year, I topped up the bird bath because it was drying out. So pleasantly warm and sunny yesterday and today.

Hit our highest temperature for months - 16.3 deg C.

I've been treated to 22 degrees two days in a row. Monday is going to be a bit of disappointment after this.

Monday is usually a disappointment, but it's Monday's like these that make me thankful for working from home.

Quite some squall line passing thru atm. Horizontal heavy rain and hail in the very gusty wind.

Wasn't looking at radar or in here so that squall came as a surprise. Came over dark, super windy and a brief spell of diagonal heavy rain. Glad to not be outside and caught in that!!! Feel sorry for those that are though

Holy mackerel!...very squally with a big rumble of thunder, cold conditions are always more interesting now days than warm ones. Just hope the little Robins in their nest are okay.

Amazing squall, worst i've seen for some time! You could see the rain streaks and the clouds racing across the sky

Gone extremely dark all of a sudden and wind is really going for it. Absolutely howling.

Missed the squall line this morning, went through a gap, disappointed. Decent day in Southampton today though, mostly sunny with a brief heavy shower while waiting for the train to come home.

Oh my goodness, massive flash of lightning followed by thunder that literally shook the house under the REALLY heavy rain passing over Surbiton right now!

 Reefseeker yes it felt like that here too. My ears hurt and all our electronic devices went temporarily off . It didn't even rain for long
