  1. Nice day today, mostly sunny.Hopefully that rain will edge a bit further eastwards as we could do with it
  2. Well we had a nice if short-lived thunderstorm last night & today was lovely, sunny & warm, up to 24C, so can't complain.
  3. The lot that was on the radar in the Channel heading for the Isle of Wight passed over here but with no more than a few spits & spots of rain, sun is out again now, well for now anyway lol.
  4. Well a damp start today, with a touch of very light drizzle, but from mid morning sunny Not as warm as yesterdays 29.7C but still warmer than forecast with 24C currently, I guess as the forecast had today as cloudy here.
  5. Well another damp squib today, rain but nothing heavy since around 7am, which seems to have stopped now, giving 6mm.
  6. We had a short lived storm here yesterday evening, but only a few distant rumbles & a couple of flashes, we did get a spell of heavy rain though, giving around 5mm. Today has been bone dry & mostly sunny, so here's hoping tomorrow will deliver something more exciting.
  7. Mostly sunny today here, though have have a few spots of rain, literally. Desperately need a good downpour as yesterdays 3mm was the first rain here for 23 days!
  8. Solent Met station reporting 29C at 1pm & here in nearby Portsmouth it's 30.5C.
  9. Once again Met Office have not correctly forecast conditions for here on the Hampshire coast. Max forecast temperature was 28C & it is already just over 30C! NE'ly with high pressure & sunshine in summer = Hot Hampshire coast. Solent Met station is currently hottest in UK, again, was 29C at 1pm.
  10. Thursday's maximum temperature was 30.5C, recorded at both Hurn (Dorset) & Solent (Hampshire).
  11. Not quite, Chivenor had a high of 30.2C. The highest temperature was 30.5C, recorded at both Hurn & Solent.
  12. Yep it is boiling! Hottest since 2006 I expect it was a bit more bearable on the beach though It is a little cooler now as we have a SE'ly breeze, but still 27C
  13. Hampshire/Dorset/West Sussex are often the warmest places in situation like today with an ENE wind. At 12pm Solent was recording 28.3C & by 1pm it was 30.2C. It is a little higher than that too here in nearby Portsmouth.
  14. Very hot day here on the Hampshire coast about 3 degrees higher than forecast due to E'ly/NE'ly winds. Solent Met Office station has been sat at just over 30C for the last couple of hours & it is just over 31C here in Portsmouth.
  15. The last few days Solent Met station has has a sea breeze as it's right next to the sea, but just a few hundred yards inland no sea breeze & higher temperatures, even here in Southsea (around 1 mile inland). Yesterday Solent was 27.6C & I recorded 28.0C. Today the winds have been E'ly & NE'ly so the coastal strip has been warmest as no sea breeze, also an E'ly wind will have the warmer air from Portsmouth (very built up city) blowing over to Lee-On-Solent so again giving higher temperatures. I have recorded a temperature of 31.4C this afternoon! Once again the Met Office have failed to notice that this part of the south coast would have very high temperatures today, as it always does in a NE'y wind.
  16. The Netweather forecast for here has shown a max of just 18C for days now lol.

  20. We have these clever things down south called "outdoor lights", lets you sit out in the garden once it's dark & you can still see
  21. Strangely we have had mostly a northerly wind here today & despite a sea breeze on the beach it has had no effect just a little inland where I live. Infact just walking a hundred yards or so from the beach & the sea breeze was not felt at all. Because of this it has turned out to be the warmest day of the year here so far with a max of 30.7C! Still hot now too with 30.0C
