Beautiful today & already warmer than forecast so the 27C the BBC have me down for at the weekend may also go higher 23.5C here at the mo & feeling perfect
I think the start of autumn will be dry with lots of sunshine & warm too, then from the middle of October it will turn more unsettled with rain & frequent gales, but fairly mild tempertures. November will be generally mild apart from the odd colder snap further north & into the winter I think it will continue mild, with any snow reserved for high ground in the north.
If winds are indeed easterly or north easterly then I would expect some of the the highest temperatures to be on this part of the south coast (as was the case in June). So I would think that the Met Office stations at Solent, Southampton & Hurn would record at least 30C & possibly as high as 32C.
Yesterday was a stonking day, warm & sunny with a Max of 24.7C. Today is also stonking, clear blue sky again, but with a southerly wind today feeling a little fresher, still quite warm however, temperature is 21.9C after a minimum of 15.7C
My total for June now stands at 20.3mm. Had a light shower this morning but the sun has been out this afternoon, quite hazy though. Temperature is 21.5C after a minimum of 13.7C.
Not all of the south east was coolest. Granted here is the far west of the south east, but June has been cracking here, lots of sunshine (especially during the first 10 days) & pretty decent since with hardly any rain. Also north easterly winds at this time of the year lead to this part of the south coast often recording the highest temperatures, Solent Met Office station has had a high of 25C ( & I have have recorded 26C)
Anyway looking good as we go into next week, hopefully we will be getting some nice temperatures into the mid to high 20's.
Yes was nice earlier this morning here but then clouded over, the sun is now coming back out though finally
Temperature is 18.5C after a minimum of 10.9C.
