  1. The EPS wind direction compass seems to have the wind more likely from a W/SW/NW direction all the way through to the 29th http://www.knmi.nl/exp/pluim/windroos.php
  2. He got a job somewhere and a condition was he stopped posting here. Very good poster ....
  3. This is not directed at you Backtrack, Clearly the forum needs active members to ensure it earns well. (The more unique visitors the more money you can get from advertisers) but on the flip side writing the first thing that enters someones head isn't always worth writing down and just confuses the issue and clogs up the forum) I have been astounded before when someone with 1000+ has posted a a question about something that even I knew the answer to. This proves the point I think
  4. I know what posters I'm looking for but I have to glance 30 odd posts to try and find one of the said posters that seem to know their stuff, I realise I have added to the ratio .. and will now shut up.
  5. ......and the above 2 posts #1281 #1282 is why I have no clue as to what's going on. (Not a knock on you two above but more an obs on how difficult it is to read the situation )
  6. I remember the late 80's and 1990's where we hardly saw any wintery synoptics whether it was a GH or a SH. Still got time this winter and was anything really cold and snowy expected before the New Year .... I've seen more cold weather over the last 4 years than I saw in the 1990's.
  7. ECM has chained itself to the gates of frigidness and is protesting loudly. Time for the GFS and UKMO to get the bolt croppers out and remove him !
  8. Didn't think so either. Had snizzle quite often on a raw SE'ly here in Kent but never anything white from the South
  9. Hi all, Just wondered if we have ever had snow in the UK from a southerly/south westerly direction. I'm not thinking of embedded colder air and a low pressure system coming in from the West or up from the South but if for instance cold air has taken a long route through the Med/North Africa before coming to our shores from the SW or S?
  10. The salad with associated salad cream on my plate doesn't seem so appealing now ! Thanks for that !!!
  11. Seem to under a streamer here from Hastings and up through Ashford and onto Canterbury. Since 2 pm we must have easily had an inch of rain here and the "streamer" is still going.
  12. I feel for the people that missed out. Especially the younger members who can't drive. For those that can drive and didn't see anything and were within an hour or so of a decent storm I suggest you get in your car and drive to it. Great fun !
  13. There has been lightning around Ulcombe and Lenham so that could be what you're hearing.
