EDIT i have found a hotel nr the premm inn its booked but i can cancel up till tuseday

for my 2 penny worth i have the reaction times of a sloth like claire i was out in arionza also fantastic time.

Depending on how new your camera is?

mine is a nikon d5100 . if you take 30 sec video shots in HD

then review and grab the frame that you want you might be lucky and get a bolt that hasnt reached the ground.

well sitting in the airport awaiting our flight to dallas then home

i would like to thank paul claire and craig for an excellent tour could not wish for better company and to new found friends i will look forward to meeting you all again next year "its going to be along cold lonley winter without you"

all i can say to anybody who is thinking or having any doubts about coming out dont just do it and you will not regret it this place is something else

Hi all

Excuse the typing I am on my iPhone

Arrived safe and well at my hotel tonight. After a great afternoon in Richmond catching up with some very old friends

All this talk of hot air and colds all I have to say is save the hot air for the updraft and leave the colds and flu at the airport back here in the uk

Yes camras at the ready I think we are in for a busy couple of weeks foolishly I have promised to get some awsom shots

Hi , Sorry if the info was wrong but I was told this when I asked a former colleague about connecting flights in the US. Either way DFW is probably one of the better airports and as you say there are later connections

DFW is one of the better ones that i have heard off

best i found so far is cincinati 30-40 mins max on a bad day

i thinks depends on the number of international flights that land at the same time

still we find in just over a weeks time

after not stormchasing in may this year i badly need this trip to get it out of my system at least next may will come a lot sooner i hope

Hi Paul, if you miss the connection through delays outside of your control AA should arrange for you to catch the next connecting flight but it may be worth letting the Air Attendant know if the flight is running late. Regarding Immigration, I suspect you will get off and walk through to connecting flights so you may do that bit at Phoenix. Also your bags will probably be sent straight though to your internal flight, so at least that's one less thing to think about!!

Either way DFW is easy to navigate and there is a sky train that runs around the airport, You also have the added advantage of Craig being there who should be reasonabiliy familiar as this is the airport we use on the stormchase tours

My experience is that US airports are generally well oiled machines so don't think you would have too much to worry about

i forget that craig has exprience of this airport

all the times i have flown to the usa you have to clear border control at the entry airport ie dallas not the final one and you have to collect your bags and walk through customs and put it back on the conver belt the the other side of customs

so unless there is plenty of connection time i will always aviod airports like chicago or new york etc.

HI all

i just checking over my flight details and one thing that is concerning me is conection times in dallas

my question is how long does it take to get through customs at dallas as we only have 1 1/2 hrs to change planes and walk across the terminal to the other side and american airlines have not been on time lately. but at least there are another 3 flights if we miss that connection.

Took a peek at the weather channel 10day outlook looks like it will quite period this coming week then ramping up again next weekend just in time for our arriival

It's going to be a long week with a lot of. Watching of the forecast and how flights are doing.
