Quite a bit of cloud to my north/northwest now, its hard to tell but i think the clouds are moving more west to east so might miss me, but i might get lucky, some clouds look like that in the pic by Avain in snowmadsam's post above!

Yeah kinda, its got a case thing around it with the air gaps, but i think the sun does warm it a bit! it now says 6.8c, went up to 7.6C earlier. Nothing i can do about it unfortunatlly because if i put it in a shaded area, then i dont get proper wind reading. Not sure what i can do really.

Lol the weather station is on the top of the washing line at the bottom of the garden, the only place i could put it to get any proper readings. I just been out back and it doesn't seem overly cold, esp in the sun. Could it possibly be to do with me being in abuilt up area etc, so it stays warmer than areas around us? i just can't think of any other reason as it doesn't seem to be falty atall. Well fingers crossed we will finally get some snow cover on the ground at some point in the next 24 hours!

Looks like we could see some showers later and overnight, hopfully of snow! Temps shot up thismorning, reached 6.5C at 10:45am, now gone back down to 5.3c and seems to be falling slowly. Fingers crossed for those showers. Is there any chance of seeing anything tomorrow night? or tuesday? as netweather seems to give us snowshowers tonight/tomoz morning, tomoz night/sunday morning, monday and tuesday. I hope to see something in the next few days then if they are right! wind seems to be coming from the W/NW.

Had a low overnight of -1.8C, not all that cold compared to others. Temp now rising at 0.4C. Maybe a chance of the odd shower later thisevening? also both metcheck and net weather show a chance of some light snow overnight saturday into sunday in the forecast for my area! I will be surpised if it does!

Just looked at metcheck weather reports and someone from Anglesey said on/off snow there. Wish it was like that here, mixture of sun and alot of cloud, temp today reached a max so far of 4.2c, now 3.9C and dewpoint falling at 1.1C. Next few days look like being cold and frosty then with little chance of snow showers. Correction, sun is out and its now a balmy 5.7C

Lol maybe, darkish cloud overhead now, looks almost like it wants to give something, but not sure it will!

I am not to happy with the sun at the moment, temp is now up at 3.8C, i was hoping today would be a bit colder than that! maybe the proper cold air hasn't quite got here yet. Anyway more cloud coming over now so hope that will lower temps, and im sure a few mins ago i saw the odd flake blowing in the wind, could of been something else though!

Well temp gone up from 2.8C to 3.6C in last hour or so, dewpoint 2.3C. Stronger east/northeast wind today. Well if no snow falls today here (which it wont as i dont even see the chance of showers today at the moment here) then that will be it for 2009, i have a feeling 2010 could be good though, so will have to wait and see!!

Just looked out the window and looks like a bit of very light sleety rain now, only picking though nothing much.

Well ENE wind here, mostly light at the moment, but hope temp falls enough then between now and when the front gets back here, providing there is anything left to fall in it when it gets back here anyway.

I hope so, because even if it is a shower or two, sometimes they can give a inch or so right? although this far west im not too sure..

Yeah welcome to Net Weather Temp now at 3.3C and looks cloudy, but no rain and things seem to be drying up! Still looks like we have a fair chance on sunday/monday, but all can change. Does anyone know if there is any chance tomorrow or friday of seeing any snow?

temps hovering around 3.4C atm, i think as the front moves south and the cold air comes in behind overnight, the temp will soon drop away. Net weather forecast for here overnight sunday into monday looks good at the moment!

im happy they are saying we are more likely to have a colder winter!! and possibly wetter is good as it could mean more snow if its colder?

That doesn't sound to bad at the moment, hopfully things will go right, and we will get something, even if its only a few inches. Will have to see how things go as we get closer to the time. I will say i do hate all the waiting to see if it will or wont happen. I now just look foward to it getting colder

True. Sunday night and Monday look a bit interesting at the moment, still a long way off, but would i be right in saying thats still our next best chance? metcheck and accu weather both also have forecast snow for here then. It will all change, but i can still have a small bit of hope right?

Drizzly rain now, but warm too at 3.7C. Met office forecast for my area a low of -7C on saturday night. cold indeed!

Moderate/heavy sleety rain here now and temp still 3C, more rain than anything at the moment though.

we haven't even got that, a bit of light rain has just started. Temp up at 3.1C, i guess this band has brought some milder air with it.

Well met office still have a warning for heavy snow in bridgend "There is a moderate risk of severe weather continuing to affect parts of England and Wales on Wednesday. Further periods of sleet and snow are likely at times during the day. Accumulations of 2-5cm are possible at low levels with a risk of 10-20cm over high ground." would be nice if only a few cm, but temp has risen to 2.6C so i can't see us getting any yet, but will have to see what happens as the day goes on. Haven't got my hope's up this time though,

ok cool, i bet it will change some how so like normal everywhere else in the uk will get snow apart from us! thats what seems to be happening alot lately!

just looked at the forecast on here for my area, and i know it will change but are our next chances thursday, and then sunday night into monday? still along way off but im trying to look for our next best chance now.

I agree with you there, hope to see atleast one good snowfall with atleast 6" to 8", and i think end of jan or some time in feb will be the most likely time for it to happen here!
