    So at the moment does it look like we will see rain or sleet instead of snow now down here in the south?

    Well we will just have to wait and see how things go today, hopfully the front will stall and we will get a good amout of snow. I wouldn't always go with the forecasts as in recent years when we have been forecast heavy rain we have actally had snow, so just got to see what happens as we go through today.

    Still isn't 1 day of snow better than nothing?? still i get what you mean, it would be nice for it to last, and some times when it snows like that one day, it continues into the next day, and the snow would help keep temps down wouldn't it?

    Well i live in brackla, about 8 miles inland and despite its not that far inland and im not that high up, for some reason we seem to do ok a lot of the time and end up with snow at some point, I just hope there is some sort of covering by morning, but i dunno why, i just feel fairly confident this time its going to be good! But thats prob just cause i want this snow so much as its been soooooo long since we last had a good snow fall!

    Nope we don't normally do to well, but i hope this time we do for a change! Its 4C here now and will prob rise a bit more, but im not to worried as its not ment to start till late tonight/early tomorrow morning so it should (fingers crossed) be cold enough for snow from the word go by then! How much do you think we will get then?

    Well im spuprised that looking at the BBC forecast for my area and they have heavy snow for here at times. Looking foward to tonight to see what happens!

    Well i live kinda along the M4 corridor, looking foward to seeing some snow! So when is it ment to start, will it be monday night or will we have to wait till tuesday? Just looked on theweatheroutlook and they say that "Computer forecasting models are suggesting the cold spell may persist for at least 10 days." which would be very nice! does anyone else have any idea how long it may last?

    That shows Bridgend being kinda sleety, but i think it will actually be snow for here and i hope most of or all of south wales. If this does come off then could we get the same amount of snow as we did in feb, we had 6inches here then and would love to get that again or more!

    They have given forecasts like that before, where we were ment to get rain, but instead we saw heavy snow, so lets hope either they change to give us snow or they are wrong about us with the rain! I think we will get some snow at some point during tuesday or wednesday.

    So if this does happen, is there chance of snow for us in the south? im only 8 miles inland or something like that, i know its hard to say anything this far away, but is there still a chance we could get snow here?

    Met Office have the warning for both tuesday and wednesday next week now, i hope this does happen and we get a good covering!!

    Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Everyone, Still white ice around so i guess you could say it will be a bit of a white christmas lol

    Well the rain melted quite a bit of ice last night, still on lawns and some pavements though, alot of slushy ice now though, temp now at 3C, shame this cold spell had to end just before christmas but now I look foward to the next cold spell!

    Temp up at 2.4C and light rain falling now, i think all the ice could be gone by the morning if it keeps raining!

    Well the temp is rising here now at 2.1C so no too happy about that, but nothing i can do about it really Just gotta hope for the best! Any showers will most likely fall as just rain here now, although im not sure we will get any, if the showers are of rain then i'd rather not have any.

    Temp here now up a bit to 1.4C and no snow for a while now, hope the temp doesn't rise anymore, if anything drop as we go into the night, also hope for maybe some snow showers!

    Still nothing at the moment, hope it starts again but not sure if we will looking at the Met Office Radar.. Temp now seems steady at 1.2C

    Just had some unexpected heavy snow, started to settel to things even though its wet from the rain earlier, stopped at the moment, hope it starts again soon

    turned a bit more light and sleety now, didnt quite expect to see snow! temp now down to 1.3C, hope it gets heavier and turns back to snow!

    Well its just about stopped here now, i think it will prob start again fairly soonish, temp is still dropping though now 1.5C, hopfully if it keeps dropping then tonight might get a chance of snow!

    Lol it cant make its mind up, temp now 1.6C and its a bit more sleety again now, all you lucky ones getting the snow!!

    Had a heavier burst of rain a few mins ago that turned more sleety, now its back to drizzly light rain Temp now down to 1.7C
