-

It's trying its best to snow here.. there are big wet flakes mixed with the rain. Temp has fallen from 3.4c to 2c

Do you honestly believe, that after the Met Office issuing warnings of significant snowfall for parts of Wales and the west Midlands, that it will not materialise? Some people need to relax and stop with the "yet another non-event" posts. If anyone thinks they can do better than the meteorologists at the Met Office, then you can always apply for one of their vacancies. I'm sure with your knowledge and experience, they are just waiting for people like you.
Until tomorrow midday, it's still all to play for!
I hope for you guys in the Midlands that you're right. However the fact is that a warning was issued here for 5-10cm with up to 15cm on hills - I am reasonably high up and surrounded by the Chiltern Hills, it has been sleeting for hours, the temp is static at 2c and the band of weather will have passed over us before long. The snow that they have warned about has not materialised here at least. Still hoping I'm wrong of course!

Well I think the met office warning for Bucks is a bit of a waste of time. Here in the south of the county I'm technically in the South East rather than the Midlands though... It's been sleeting fairly heavily for hours, temp is 2c and the precip will have moved through before long! Unless I'm missing something I don't think there will be much if any snow in Bucks.

2.5c and still sleeting quite heavily
-
Temp is 2.7c here, down from 2.9c earlier and the moderate rain has become a bit sleety
-
2.5c and raining lightly on what's left of my snow cover
-
BBC forecasts today have mentioned that there is a risk of snow in the Chilterns tomorrow - will just have to wait and see what falls out of the sky. Currently clear and another frost developing. Temp is -0.7c after a max today of 1.9c

Moderate snow here in Chesham, hasn't really stopped since this afternoon, temp has been exactly 0c for hours
-
That energy working along the front from the SW looks like it could bring quite a bit of snow to areas NW of London fairly soon.
-
Already PPN 4 miles to my west on the high res radar over Amersham and Chesham - can anyone confirm this?
Hasn't really stopped snowing in Chesham since this afternoon. Has been lighter snow grains at times, but currently 'proper' albeit light snow
-
Still snowing like mad in Chesham. Traffic in town is at a standstill, must have had a couple of inches extra since it started
-
Where abouts in the chilterns are you?
I'm in Chesham, really coming down thick here
-
Very heavy snow now, huge flakes! Temp -0.5c
-
The snow went lighter for a while, looked like sleet but was a mix of flakes and grains. Now snowing heavily again in Chesham, temp still nudging up though at -0.8c
-
Sleeting here.
I really thought it would be just snow. Oh well..
Im 200asl here, so people in cambs and home counties dont be to confident just yet.
I'm surprised you have sleet, I'm not that far away and at lower altitude but have heavy snow here
-
Snow has become heavier now, temp -3c
-
It's just started snowing lightly, temp -3.6c
-
Very light snow here, temp -5.4c
Stopped after a few minutes!
-
Temp rising quickly now with the cloud cover -6.2c
-
The temperature here is -7.2c after a minimum of -9.2c Clouding over now, expecting more snow later this afternoon
-
Just checked the temperature, was expecting it to be a cold one with the snow cover, clear skies and no wind but to my surprise we're currently bang on -9c!!

Has been snowing here since yesterday evening, was light for most of the night but is really coming down at the moment. Temp -0.7c and at a guess we've got about 12 - 15 cm. No work today!
