Steady heaveyish rain here now, no thunder or lightening. Sat in the dark with all the windows open, and the patio doors listening to the rain, and a lovely cool breeze blowing through my house

....and there it was gone
Strong rumbles, big flashes all over in a flash

I’ve been reading this forum for a while now and decided to join you.
Could be an entertaining evening here, thunder is rolling around nicely.

Nevermind all the fancy cloud names, there are big old cotton wool buds appearing now.
Dont be daft they're not cotton wool buds, they're cauliflowers

Suspect you're getting some sunlight messing with it as it wouldsurprise me if anywhere is that hot even if there was a strong foehn effect. I am showing 29°C in Crosby at my parents house with the same equipment as me.
Anyway re the clouds, definitely seems a CZ on the coast. My transmitter is in the shade, but I do think it's a bit high. My car showed 31c about 1.45

It was lovely and sunny and warm here earlier. So I did my washing, it was drying nicely then suddenly, about half an hour ago the heavens open

Population is to big for infrastructure along with irrigation etc etc.Looks like things will cool Down dramatically in May with floods being a feature, and into summer as well.....watch this space....!
I hope it does cool down. I've been there July and August and it's got to over 50c in the courtyard. Too hot to do anything. No wonder alot of the construction industry shut down in summer

Intense heat once again into next week for Iberia.
April Spain record is 37.4C set in Murcia, 2011. I imagine that will likely be pulverised along with many local records next week, maybe even 40C could be reached as you mentioned Dave.
Concerning for upcoming summer too if I may add, with more intense heat spikes possible in the UK from Spanish plumes, as that heat builds and the dry ground.
Eek I'm off there in 4 weeks, hope it cools down a bit, we're near Cordoba which can be very hot. The water shortage situation is getting very serious
