Something to do with where it's location is
Not sure, I've know it to be cold and wet and even snow on the local mountains/hills other years.

I've been in Southern Spain since New Year's eve, the weather has been more or less glorious, like a UK (real) spring. We have had frosty mornings but by midday it is lovely to sit out. There has been very little rain, Spain is really desparate for rain. As I write this it is 17.55 and we are still sat out in tee shirts. Is this the effect of global warming?

Yes definitely if going through Pyrenees and also Massif Central… some quite snowy mountains on horizon at Toulouse airport yesterday
We go through Madrid, usually snow on the mountains there then towards Bilbao up over the border into France, Bordeaux

I think that was a couple of crazy gfs runs ago the media’s hopped on to…. As per usual… if a quarter of these prophecies came true we’d have ski resorts in the Pennines
We're driving from Southern Spain and up through France, maybe I'll see some there (lve even got my woolly hat with me )

According to Google and other 'sources' I see the UK braced for a monster dumping next Thurs/Fri, 2" an hour from a 750 mile wide weather system I'm back in the UK then, a bit of me is hoping

I'm gutted you have had snow, though it is a given seeing as I am out of the country until 10th Feb. What are the chances of snow for Feb? I've been looking at the models but I'm not concentrating.

I've given in and put my heating on for an £our, I even had to use the tumble dryer for half an hour this afternoon. Brought the hot washing out and piled it on top of me for 10 minutes, toasty warm I don't thinks got much above 6c here today

Yea I need that compromise. Like i've said before I'm a tiny 7 stone thing with no fat on me so I really feel the cold. So I'm trying on this as long as I can! Got another Merino wool jumped today to help keep me warm! Can always wear a fleece on top too or get a fleect hoodie thingy
I've got a blank, for when it gets too cold

2 or 3 days in a row now for thunderstorms I'm well happy. Torrential downpour about 20 minutes ago, gutters couldn't cope, rain eased off but still lots of rumbles

The lightening is still flashing away, it's like what we get in Spain. Rain has died off now

I went to Burscough car boot earlier, it was drizzly and cold at 8c (should have stayed in bed)
