Overcast and very dull/dark here, there has been the odd light shower this morning. Quite blustery making it feel cool. Forecast is for light to moderate rain later this afternoon turning heavy overnight, a slight chance of T/storms, with a low of 6c. Looking at the radar there are some hefty showers north of Blackpool towards Carlisle and across to the NE. Temp 13c Barometer 9.82.05 mb steady Humidity 77% Dewpoint 9c Wind WSW 33.8km/hr

As I am up at 4am for work most mornings I find the dark very depressing, in the summer when it is light I have no problem at all getting up, it's a joy to wake up to the sun and the birds singing but on these dark mornings I often crawl back into bed for a while longer as I don't want to go out in the cold and dark.

Ours goes on for an hour of a morning and then about 5pm till 8pm, for now, no doubt this will increase over the next month or so.

Just got back from a lovely day out visiting some friends in Staffordshire, couldn't believe the change in just a few years! sunny and blue skies all day, with 17c, breeze was cool out of the sun, but hey who cared, t'was great.

After yesterdays deluge, today started beautiful bright and sunny with pockets of mist through the Douglas Valley, cloud has increased this afternoon, looks like rain is promised. Feels quite cool in the breeze, don't have any access to temps etc but I would guess about 14/15c

Local radio just reported Rivers Ribble,and Douglas have burst their banks, they also said the rain was going to get lighter into the evening??

I didn't realise, I haven't been paying attention lately! So should I stay in tonight or go out with my camera. I will have to make the effort ot get on here more often I love proper weather!

I've just checked the radar too, I'm a bit North of you Backtrack, its just starting to rain heavy here. This afternoon was horrendous we had flash floods, what is normally a fifteen minute journey from work took me 3/4 hr, atrocious driving conditions. Didn't realise there is worse on the way?

A fairly dull overcast day. Rain here this evening, cooler than of late but still muggy. Hopefully some Tstorms tomorrow, yayy and its my day off I will be able to chase them

I have no statistics to hand but going by my own statistics, I am ready for some warmth and sun, its been a long cold winter.
