    BBC is still saying we will get snow here in Kent tonight... I'm heading up to Yorkshire on Sunday so I'm hoping there will be snow there... It's just I'm getting an icky feeling I'm heading up to East Yorkshire whilst the weather is moving down to where I live.

    easing off already here in Dover... this just isn't good enough I'm hoping something changes to bring us more... I don't want to miss out on it twice....If it doesn't play nice tonight maybe the snow for tomorrow will work wonders... maybe being third time lucky. I dunno though.

    wow it's come over dark here... ferry cam is blotted out, you can't see a thing ... things starting to cover already. £2 coin sized flakes... hills are fading into the distance too.

    I can see some nasty looking clouds to the north above Whitfield (North Dover) so it is definitely on it's way

    Neil great to hear it's snowing in North Kent now then! Heading for us I think in East Kent

    BBC were saying much of the night in the extremities of East Kent if we are to go by their graphics... they were still showing snow for 5am

    Interesting, Thanks for that... looks like Dover could be right in the firing line so I'm happy

    we had that here when we had a dusting... car slid sideways and a sports car got stuck... so I can only imagine how bad it is where you are!

    Does anyone think luck may change for us here in East kent who only got a light sprinkling like icing sugar? BBC are saying maybe sleet/snow 3pm onwards but yesterday they said the showers here would be more of rain and it snowed for about half hour giving a dusting.

    The snow does look set to fall from 3pm onwards here in East Kent looking at BBC Weather... It's a shame the decent stuff didn't come last night to add an extra day onto schoolkids Christmas Break... looks like they're going today unless Teachers can't get in.

    Snowing in Dover again only slightly but it's snowing... Just have to hope that band slides a little further towards us!

    T think that band may just clip us if we're lucky, the rain today radar shows it heading right for us. not far from Deal... I'm hoping anyway lol

    yes raintoday.co.uk shows one of the bands heading south/ south eastwards... I'm hoping it gets a little more of a kick up the backside towards us. even a centimetre or two and i'd be happy!

    JUst woke up for a sneak peak here in Dover, East Kent and as I and everyone suspected... Nothing... only remnants from the shower we had at 3pm ish yesterday afternoon doesn't looks likely for any to pass over us either

    ditto there, I'm In Dover and will be disappointed if it misses us like February!

    Rob has to be the best BBC Forecaster. He can stumble at times and can be a slight bit slow, but who cares? He is a down to earth sounding person! from the forecast it looks like much of the snow (like Feb this year) will fall west of Canterbury and Ashford... I'm hoping it goes slightly East than that as I'm in East Kent.

    The MO updated their site about an hour ago and removed all references to snow in the SE corner this morning... it's just gonna be a bit nippy today with some rain then back to slightly warmer South and South Westerly winds Talk about short lived, but we do have a whole winter ahead of us I suppose.
