  1. A nice covering there Mark, more like 1 to 1 1/2 inches here I think, judging by window viewing. Any more measurements out there folks!

Still snowing but becoming very close to borderline sleet.

Not much here at all 1/2 inch at best. Not measured lately though!!

Blimey what's all this imperial measurement malarky ? And I thought I was one of the oldies on here. :D

  2. Hehehhee!! I'm in Harestock so that's fine by me!! Funny you say that I told hubby its snowing in Chilbolton and he said what the avenue? He is a donut sometimes ;-) I'm looking out every 5 mins now lol. Like a kiddy in a sweetshop. Me and Southampton are in the gap on the 4pm radar lol. http://www.metoffice...ather/uk/radar/

Might as well open up this wine and beer I got today for being snowed in. Red, Rose or While anyone?

Ooohh I'll have a glass of Verdello Solera 1851 if you please. But at 20 pony's a bottle better wait till it's a foot deep outside. :D

PS It's settling now. (not the wine, the snow)

  3. So having done the rounds here are a few morsals.

One bloke in the Southwest thread had just packed his tent up and is threatening to go home. Another said ian fergusson on twitter said snow for wilts and glos.

Met office as per warning and to top it off Louise Lear on BBC online has the front sliding from Birmingham to IOW . To the right of this snow, to the left rain. BUT as final analysis firms up the whole caboodle may well shift 50 miles west.

At the moment it's heads or tails and the fat lady is still out. So pending the next round of chart outputs my advice is to go in search of the most promising forecast then you can't go wrong. :winky:

That and some serious lamping tomorrow.

    GET those sleds out. :D

  4. Meto have now put their cards on the table. Well some of them anyway. Still subject to change though. But a bit of insurance as they say to low levels so presume we are looking at uniform temp level throughout.

    http://www.metoffice...t_warnings.html

So at present time it is looking like 5cm to the left and northwards anf 5-2cm to the right.

Edit : OK plus the slow moving bit from SE section 5-10cm. So looking at the overlap region around a line north centred I.O.W you/we/me could get a sizable dump.

Here's lookin at you kid. B)

  5. Lol

Post 533 from Roger (RJS) on the southeast thread has got to be the ultimate ramp ! I'm still laughing as I type.

10-20 cm tomorrow in some southeast spots with totals throughout the period of 90cm albeit spread about.

And so far not a sniff on the charts.

I do like Roger's style of writing but I am agog here. hey repeat after me !I believe. I believe"

PS Notice he has done a runner since. :D
