Divadee yes still recovering from that one but, on a positive note RJS just posted an interesting comment or 2 in the model thread.
Looking at the various model runs there remains alot of uncertainty with regards short term outlook. Potential flow disruption springing up all over the shop.
Hampshire seems to be the meeting point with possible South/southwest fronts, channel lows. Easterly outbreak and Northeast showers if wind is really strong and as per the GFS potential for that France setup to edge slightly further north.
End of the week looks more interesting with regards the above.

Just stopped snowing now. Had to shovel my .01mm from the back door That's my lot for this year then.
But then again.............. :winky:

Morning Lamp watchers. light snow here in north hampshire. Must be right on the edge of the boundary running NW -SE. Elevation a measly 100m amsl.
Have a good day

Blimey ! Polycephaly comes to mind.

Having just checked the "alternative media" it's bye bye to Positive Weather Solutions then. The econonic climate as well as the weather bites then.

Well just spotted a pile of snow on the side of the road then concluded that a freezer delivery vehicle must have intentionally offloaded some surplus cargo.
Afraid that looks as good as it gets down this way. Have given up wishing. So who knows what 2012 will conjure up.
Enjoy the mud everyone.
Festive cheers

Well that backend line that just went through was the most impressive on the wind front. It produced the most impressve squall of all, branches all over the shop.
Well Friday maybe even more impressive.!
Cheers

If you are reading this, I was looking (lurking ) on a members profile today and noticed that I was recorded as showing as having visited on 14th Aug rather than 22nd.
You might be aware of this anomaly already.

Just in case anyone is still listening.
Don't forget to switch off your TV set and unplug from the wall.
Goodnight.

Well folks,
is there just an outside smidgen of a chance that we could grease up the runners for a sled run by the end of next week ?
It is only March the 5th after all. It used to snow readily this time of year "when I were a lad"
Well I still am just a tad older.
Butser Hill anyone.

Evening all, hope everyone is well even if the weather is quite unexciting. I'm very sad right now as a good friend passed away yesterday so it could be snowing blizzards and I probably wouldn't notice. I will go out this weekend and try to appreciate whatever the weather as we just don't know what's round the corner. Take care all x
Sorry to hear that slb very sad.
All the Best

Hmmm think I will put away the sled and tea tray for now. <_<

Well ever since Boxing day here in the south I have been suffering from Narnia withdrawal symptoms .
Will the possible sighting of an Easterly bring back the wardrobe ?
-
Absolute disgrace... Just watched the last forecast!
I'll second that. Bad decision BBC. Not a good move, you are a public service.
Edit just noticed 17 menbers and 196 Guests are reading this topic.
That speaks volumes BBC and Met office as I am sure one of you is a guest !

It's been 2 hours and no one has commented in it. Is this meant to happen?
There are up to 15 camped outside the Odeon Door at times with tents !
Shall I get them all a cup of tea ? Including 1 mod and 1 contributor :smiliz19:

Well that first band on the radar is dropping a light dusting. Maybe the darker second band will be more impressive.
OK trays on standby .
-
Morning,
Well I just had my breakfast and looked outside. There was some sleet going on! Not a lot admitedly but it definitely was (I held a black tray outside to check; the neighbours must have thought I was bonkers).
You should try a white tray. That looks really impressive. Chucking it down.

What does BFTE mean please?
cheers
Blast from the East :smiliz19:

Same here flyer .... big wet flakes.... A real shock ...I'd written off today as a non event
Morning Kiwi
Yes the low on the sat picture is quite a bit south past the channel and heading East so it looks like we are catching the back end as colder air is pulled down from the North

Morning lampers.
Heavy rain turning to snow here in North Hampshie. Well there's a surprise.
Will it last though ?
-
Well a lot of very very heavy rain for us next week then; pretty much nailed on now so I'm finally stopping my snowsearch and will return to these forums when the weather gets interesting again (thunderstorms anyone?). Midlands look like they're going to get our early January episode and then some this week, lucky things!
Bye all,
You might be back sooner than you realise.
Met office have an advisory out

I think he was complaining that the ball doesn't run so well over hail stones...hehe...
Please don't show your daughter this one
I'll get back to you on the 2nd pic.
Just got to will those consecutive lows a tad further south. But hey maybe they will just hug the french coast line.
Need to get the next 4 weeks out of the way then I can get some proper shut eye

We had a sleet/hail/graupel shower this afternoon around 2-30pm, it was fairly heavy at times. It certainly confused the new puppy!
Evening Wind bit of a cutee you got there best not show my daughter she goes all soppy with piccy's like that.
Not sure why he/she has got a ball stuck to her ear though
Get that snow in the fridge before it all disappears.
