Summer has been grim, hopefully we get a dry September and Oct as I don't fancy a monsoon season till next May.

What a spell of weather, looking a bit more damp from tomorrow onwards but humid, suppose the farmers and water folk will be happy.

Hello everyone! Been a lurker for a while but convinced myself to make an account.
in my view This winter by all accounts seems to have been fairly decent for snow and ice. My hiking has me up Errigal, Muckish, etc routinely so I think its averaged nearly a (cumulative) month of decent snow cover above 600m for this winter. In middle of January, there was snow cornices on Muckish lol . Back in Derry about a week of snow or so thereabouts.
Welcome Kevin, fantastic pics, keep them coming

Watched the BBC weather this morning, no chat of the warning for here but covered everywhere else? The graphics seemed to indicate more for the east than over here in the west?

Morning folks. Surprise we covering this morning.
The snow would appear to be on for Thursday into Friday again but there is so much flip flopping.
Also, Met Office update for the weekend is wintry.
Hard to know what to believe, looks like its gonna be look out the window job to see what's going in. Car reporting -8 this morning, usual caveats apply!

Encouraging looking GFS 6z, for parts of the North.
Starts snowing at 9am on Thursday morning and still going 12 hours later with more snow moving into the South.
Even Barra highlighting it!

No posts for nearly three weeks! Me thinks we will be getting a bit busier soon.
The SSW and MJO aligning to hopefully give a bitter spell early March.
Hopefully if it comes it doesn't go much later into March or April, not a fan of cold springs

I decided to dip my toes into the madness thread, haven't a scoobie what's going on. As usual a certain regional bias is the only show in town
