  1. Wow that's chilly outside this morning... I notice the snow forecasts for us for tonight and tomorrow...knife-edge in my opinion
  2. The wind in Glasgow just now is bone chilling !
  3. Having just come in from the school run, the pavements in Stirling are sheet ice...much hilarity from the mothers as I skited my way to the school...... If it snows, or if the temp drops much further this afternoon, it's going to be interesting tomorrow morning....
  4. Just been outside and the thaw we had today has frozen over making the pavements and untreated roads trecherous...a night to be careful on your feet and in your car..
  5. Just bumming around the meto site - and Altnaharra currently recording -16.... Here in Stirling - wind has picked up 10mph and shifted to a NE direction, pressure falling as well....temp is up and down...
  6. Interesting band of cloud coming over us soon http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/pws/invent/weathermap/?lat=55.83214387781303&lon=-3.4991455078125&zoom=7&layertype=layer&layer=1 Don't think it contains any white stuff though...nothing showing up on rain today site.
  7. Just been out in the car and it was showing 5c...definite thaw in Stirling but there's a very cold wind.
  8. From what I can see the 06 gfs run isn't really hinting as a massive warm up though....
  9. First time I've seen the temps in Stirling go above 0 in a while - currently 1c and a slight thaw.... As Mondy says, prime conditions for the white stuff...but where is it ? lol
  10. The ECM is still trying to prolong the cold though...It's going to come down to which set you believe in lol ECm would appear to have been the most accurate, but who knows....
  11. 0 deg with -3 DP in Stirling...biting wind though. Some ominous looking clouds moving in from the east as I type - not sure if they contain anything though
  12. That meto weathermap is the mutts nuts.... You can zoom in
  13. The front coming up through Engerlund tomorrow night looks interesting - will it deposit a pile of snow on it's front edge or will the cold air here keep it at bay - the last image on the meto rainfall for Sunday brings it a lot closer to us than I thought...
  14. Clearish (hazy) interlude here in Stirling, very "alpine" There's a hefty bank of cloud moving this way as well - maybe another hour or so....
  15. raintoday showing some more nice formations coming from the NS to the Forth....
  16. -3 in Stirling with constant very light flurries....
  17. Those showers heading down from Dundee look to be coming my way
  18. Some miscellaneous picteroonies from Stirling....posted when resized lol
  19. Not sure but the showers are heading through from the NS..
  20. There are some more pushing up the Forth, but look like they are petering out whilst doing so... The heaviest showers would appear to have passed.... The GFS run looks to keep the low temps right the way through the entire run with only a couple of days having a max above zero....
  21. Yep - nice big fluffy flakes, falling fearlessy onto frozen footways lol - don't think it'll come to much, but nice to see.... -5 currently...
  22. Some nice snow in Stirling - covering the ice very nicely.....
  23. Wow Sean has gone into snow overdrive overnight !
  24. Unless it's coming from the front to the north and moving kind of southwards ?
