    With all the ups and downs in the model thread today I feel like the guy from 'Airplane'.......... "I sure picked the wrong week to give up smoking" ;o) Either way it's lovely and chilly out now and I, for one, am looking forward to see what pans out over the next few days! Whatever happens we can't change it, so I'm just going to enjoy whatever comes next

    I know this is the cold spell discussion thread, but was hoping one of you guys or girls with a bit more expertise could give me an update on what we can expect from the low forecast for tomorrow? My partner has to drive from Essex to Oxfordshire at some point tomorrow. He's trying to decide what would be the best time to do this? I know you can't be exact but a general idea would be good. Thanks in advance.

    Well it's been snowing for about an hour so far (and getting heavier as I type) not settling though....... my six year old son is most disappointed!

    It's been snowing here (in varying intensities) since 8.45 this morning, right now some of the BIGGEST flakes I've ever seen!! ....... if only it had all settled

    After my earlier post of heavy rain, it turned to snow about half an hour ago (just as I was about to walk my son to school)!! Still snowing now, although not settling as it's so wet!!

    Thought it was all over but just gone to the door to pay the pizza guy and it's snowing again. Road is covered and still coming down steadily!

    Amazing!! Went from no snow falling to tons of the stuff in a split second! My 6 year old son is well impressed!! I've never seen anything like that!
