  1. I for one didn't ignore you. You said it would come and it has In fact, I make a point of looking out for your posts in particular, so thank you!
  2. Well there's 6 centimetres here at the moment, seems to be slowing off a bit now. Would love to post some pics, but last time I tried they came out HUGE:oops: If anyone has any tips on how to get them small enough to post I'd be grateful.

  4. Woke to a covering this morning and is now snowing heavily  My son goes back to school this morning, he's so disappointed bless him. How long is this due to last and am I right in thinking there is more to come for the next few days?
  5. Loving all the snow reports, none here unfortunately! My problems is I don't really know if I'm East Anglia or South East so listening to all the experienced posters projections can get a bit confusing!
  6. I so hope I am one of those parts of Essex!! My 6 year old son would love a snow day tomorrow!
  7. Still moderate snow here in Essex with a VERY orange sky. Our drive (which took hubby 2 hours to clear this morning) is now completely covered again!
  8. Just started snowing here in Essex. Bang on time, just as the netweather radar predicted!
  9. Some snowy pics from me taken yesterday afternoon just as the sun was setting. Couldn't resist the one at the end of my black lab! He's 11 months old and this is the first time he's seen snow and my goodness did he love it!! I thought I'd done this right but when you click on the thumbnails the picture comes up HUGE!! I have emailed the help team to see if they can change it, in the meantime I apologise and if anyone can tell me how to get it right next time (or how to change the ones here) that would be great!!
  10. SO glad you've finally got some snow after you missed out last night!! Hope you get a good dumping :lol:
  11. Thanks for the reply. My son will be pleased. It was tough getting a 6 year old boy to go to school this morning, so if there's going to be more later for him to play in I won't feel so guilty about practically dragging him here this morning!!
  12. My sons school has just said it is closing early as there is more snow on the way. Is this right? (I'm in Silver End, Essex just in case the locations are still missing) I thought we'd had our share..... although I won't turn down some more
  13. I'm in Silver End (near Witham) in Essex and looks like I'm just about to be under a dark pink blob according to the NW radar. Snowing lightly here now, will let you know if it gets any heavier....... really hope it does! I should be asleep now so I can get up for the school run, everything crossed for a 'snow day' here!
  14. Still lightly snowing here! Sitting here in the warm whilst my other half tries (in vain) to reverse the car up the drive!! 20 minutes he's been at it now!! Lots of tell tale dripping though Hope its not all gone by the morning!
  15. Thank you Nick. Fingers crossed for a 'snow day' for my son tomorrow....... won't bank on it though!!
  16. Seems to have quitened down somewhat in here so hopefully some of you more experienced guys won't mind me posting the inevitable "will it snow" question!!! Have had about 2 inches in the CM8 area of Essex this evening (which I'm very happy with) but have noticed several people saying that with the wind changing direction there could be more on the way. Just been out for a ciggy and can hear the tell tale dripping so just wondered if there would be anymore for me tonight? Thanks in advance.
  17. Raining here too I'm kind of concerned now as someone earlier said that the temps weren't going to be good for snow in my area Hope we get some....... I've bought a sledge!!!
  18. Room for one more on the temperature recording? Currently -1.3 with a dp of -2.4 This has been fluctuating quite a bit tonight, can anyone tell me if this is significant?
  19. Anyone see that BBC forecast at 6.30??? There was much more snow on that map than when I watched the weather on the BBC News Channel an hour and a half ago
  20. My local weather station (in the same village as me) is reading -3.3 degrees C at 8.20am...... surely that can't be right??
  21. Thanks to Saint for replying to my post! Tried to 'quote' what you said but didn't seem to want to work!! Yes, we certainly did benefit from the Thames Streamer in Feb!! Let's hope we get the same again (and then some) this time!!
  22. Very VERY new at all of this so don't have a clue what is going on!! Have been lurking for ages but don't really know how to read all of the models. Have noticed the 'Thames Streamer' phrase being mentioned on the model thread and wondered if that would affect me? I have one very excited 6 year old boy here who would love to see some snow, plus I need to know if it's worth buying him a sledge! I apologise if I shouldn't have posted here, but if you don't ask.... you don't get!!!
