  1. I think there is colder air coming across from France, should drop some more, fingers crossed for you. Jase
  2. My front room lol might have a look see out back in a minute, want to see it get heavier first
  3. Yeah baby!!!!!!!! Are you out in it or watching lamppost from your window mate?
  4. Wind has picked up, and just been outside and felt what I thought was the first few snow grains hit my face..........I think it's started! Jase
  5. Fingers crossed we do, seen some epic snowfalls since living here, but if I'm honest I'd swap places with you, I love padstow!
  6. Not looked to be fair, just popping me head out the window now and again...........much more reliable, can have all the modern tech in the world but nothing beats a lamppost! Lol
  7. Sadly the colder air has never really made it this far down and west, even high up on the moor it has not been that cold. I have seen much worse to be honest. Quite often see ice days up here but nothing like that at the moment. Good luck to everyone who gets the snow. I can see from the quoted post above that some areas have good cold temps for the precipitation to bump into. I'm hoping over the next couple weeks the effects of the ssw will filter some real cold temps this way. Otherwise all it will bring us devon and Cornwall lot is rain.................and we have seen that before lol. Best of luck guys.
  8. Oh well, I think it's better to just expect cold rain than snow, if it turns out to be snow then great but if we get rain than we won't be too disappointed. Downgrades keep coming I'm sorry to say, it can all change though. Fingers crossed we all get snowed in lol
  9. Right guys I have been out all day and guessing the snow for Friday has been downgraded? Is it just rain for all us in devon and Cornwall? Jase
  10. My mistake there has been some very light snow it seems!
  11. Really pleased for everyone that has snow, now I want some please! With me being up on the moor I thought I would have seen a flake ot two, still time though. Jase
  12. Mate I think we reall y need the colder air to shift further west or it will be sleet/cold rain even at our altitude, I could be wrong but that's the way it looks to me. It might turn out like the 2009 event you speak of which gave us up here our biggest snowfall for years. Jase
  13. I missed that mate, too busy on here. Did they say any accumulation? Would love to see it all further west still so everyone gets a dumping at some point. It look like it has a chance of going that way possibly so fingers crossed. What day did they say wintry falls up here? Jase
  14. I have stocked the freezer too! Lol just in case but I think it's going to be marginal at the moment. Remember December 2010 well but feb 6th 2009 had the deepest snow I have seen here. Even then some of the old locals said it was nothing compared to 1963!. If only I had a time machine.............. Jase
  15. I hope so, depends on how far west the cold air gets, we have elevation on our side but the cold air is a little too Far East for my liking. There will be upgrades and downgrades for us all I imagine, fascinating but nail biting stuff all the same. These cold v warm battlegrounds can give good falls of snow, sometimes things crop up at short notice too! Keep an eye on here and the metoffice. Jase
  16. Fingers crossed the colder air is a bit further west so everyone can join in the fun! Jase
  17. Pm sent Ian, better to chat by pm so we don't annoy anyone. Sorry to everyone else for off topic chat. Jason
  18. Hi Ian that makes two of us on here from the village! Regards to snow it's a bit early for details yet and can be a nowcast situation sometimes! Keep an eye on here though. Jason
  19. Similar story and views up here this morning, the moor is looking stunning Feels bloody nippy too! Jase
