30 seconds of rain here. Those dark skies are just to the west of me and my mw radio is picking up near constant sferics. I can just about hear very distant rumbles of thunder.- 1,032 replies

Absolutely nothing doing here Chloe, another disappointing day on the cards -
Hi Snow......It's been a while since I've been able to get out again. I hope you and yours are all well. Well after a sunny afternoon the skies darkened and we just had a brief shower here. There must be some incredible rainbow views in the London area right now because as the shower passed through the sun was shining from the west right behind it.

Torrential rain here in north west London at the moment, a brief spell hailstones in amongst it -
When you say widening the regions Paul what do you have in mind ? I would say the best option would be to carve it up into countries. One forum each for Scotland, Ireland, Wales and England.

With all due respect AJ I think most regular members and posters are well aware of this and respect the fact. Newcomers may not realise and perhaps should be forewarned ? I have the greatest respect for all the folk who put their time and effort into keeping this website going, but please don't lose sight of the fact it's a two way street. Without the members who contribute the site would be a pretty barren place.

Victor...... Paul has conceded it was a mistake to close the regionals down so suddenly and has since re-opened them for the time being at least. Bottom line is it's his website and he can run it however he wishes. I am one of many who thought it was a wrong decision imposed too hastily, but Paul has at least admitted that and is reconsidering the options. Personally I am very grateful for this website but it would be nothing without the many thousands of members who contribute. It would be a shame if just a tiny minority spoil it for the vast majority, and thats where I think the current problem lays.

Good evening all and good to se JP back and posting charts and forecasts in a format an old numpty like me can understand !! It was a very decent day here in nw London with plentiful sunshine and the mercury reaching 16.8c at Raf Northolt, my nearest official Met Office weather station. I used to have a weather station of my own until the local gang of feral cats destroyed it......grrrr. Crep......that Euphorbia sap is very unpleasant at best and poisonous if ingested, I hope you haven't used any of it in a bbq salad today
