  1. Haha yeah I can’t deny that comment I’ve seen on the met office weather maps they still have some precipitation Tuesday night and Thursday.very close though also the aperge showing it too.
  2. So regarding to the next few days, do we still have the system skirting the south coast Tuesday evening? Or is that looking desperate?
  3. In the short term guys, How did the UKMO/Gfs look for the band of precipitation for the far south tomorrow or has that now sunk into France?
  4. I can’t understand it being rain on the Isle of Wight if the temps have been rock solid -4 with a -5 dew point. But if it’s going to rain anywhere! It’s here!!!!! Mind you met office turns it to snow this afternoon
  5. Very cold on the Isle of Wight. MO app says sleet for us today but I’d be amazed! We looked to have a steady band of precipitation from about 10am but current observations are as follows! No marginality there, unless a warm sector arrives
  6. I’m trying to nail down other models views on Saturday into Sunday as we may see a covering during the weekend. The little disturbance Sunday isn’t going away by the looks of it. The south east could see some snow as highlighted earlier in the thread!
  7. Looks to be plenty of activity down around the south coast as highlighted on the MO fax chart tomorrow into Sunday. If I’m reading it right
  8. The winds really fire up from Monday afternoon/evening , I’d expect lots of snow showers pepping up!
  9. A little feature Sunday morning on the Fax charts to keep an eye on, For us down south/east May bring some snow flurries.
  10. Anybody got access to the fax charts? Or can someone stick a link again in as I’m looking for some pop up precipitation in the next few days. If I was a betting man I’d put all my money on the UKMO verifying
  11. When are the UKMO Fax charts out? I will just be looking at disturbances in the next few days across the country. I’m sure 1 or 2 things will crop up from nowhere
  12. This downgrade/upgrade scenario has always happened for the 15 or so years I’ve been a member of this forum. Just ride it out, things will always chop and change even the holy grail of 2010 wasn’t nailed on! Hang in there……. If the Atlantic gets held back like it is showing then we are always in the game… let’s not forget all these outputs all struggle with the cold setup!
  13. There must be a lot of new folk in here. This type of rollercoaster/flip flop happens every single winter! I’ve been on here for many years and it’s all about trends this early out. Very encouraging signs of something cold afoot and I’ve seen a lot of forecasters mention it! Crossing the t’s and dotting the I’s will come in the coming days! Good to be back chasing this early on!!! Usually have to wait to jan/feb time! Enjoy
  14. Current obs on the Isle of Wight.. 2.7c,dew point 0 and feels like -0.6c in the windchill! Huge difference to a few hours ago, hoping to catch a few rouge wintery showers today??
  15. Surely we will see some snow/wintery showers this way in the next day or 2? Temps still a toasty 7c on the Isle of Wight and now raining how are the temps fallen anywhere else???
