    Unfortunately for us southerners it’s onto the next, the romance of a white Xmas is drifting away and S/SW winds will be influencing us on Xmas day. I just prefer a cold Xmas. but in between Xmas and new year and January will be good model viewing. And chances will come!!!

    Let’s get the cold in first before looking at snow depth charts. No question this will change it always does. Going to be a rollercoaster But theres a great chance of a cold period coming up! What a great position to be in. I’m going to enjoy the ride!!!

    I’m almost in the same position as you, I used to get sucked into every run! Model fatigue was a regular thing!! But these days I know it’s all about trends!! Cherry picking snow charts etc never work unless it’s +24 +48… I love that we are seeing great potential for a cold period and as we’ve seen before once the cold is in its very difficult to shift!! Great to be on a rollercoaster pre Xmas though!! ????

    How depressing, cold enough for snow and nothing on the radar. A low range cold spell for us. Just a drain on my heating but not cold enough for snow! Bring back the double digits

    I love snow as much as everyone on here, I only like to see a bit of falling snow, but even that is getting more difficult! I fancied snow in the morning but even that has almost disappeared. The whole country under a warning except southern counties!couldnt make it up

    Very interesting post from the Isle of Wight weather centre. On Facebook, they say they are expecting snow which at times could be disruptive! this week/weekend, I’m feeling a bit better now! Probably won’t happen. Maybe just maybe! Temps dropping now! 2.8c the dew point is now 0.2 and apparent temp in wind chill is -1.3! A lot better
