  1. WOW SUPER HEAVY SNOW HERE NOW!!! where did that come from? I thought it was stoping...
  2. Heaviest snow I've seen in a long time! Probably heaviest since 2010
  3. Just been to the shop. The pavements had cleared nicely today in the thaw but now they are very slippery again, take care out there if you're in Cardiff.
  4. If it carries on like this for a couple of hours, it will be better than Friday's event, when it mostly light to moderate snow here.
  5. Starting to settle here now and moderate to sometimes heavy.
  6. Yes I witnessed snow sticking to very wet ground on Friday morning, can easily happen.
  7. Haha I used to live in Bontgoch would you believe!
  8. Big thaw here today, though still snow lying on grassy areas. There was a cm or two extra overnight but now barely noticeable. Clouds looking very ominous to the south and the wind is picking up, are we about to enter round 2?
  9. Guys calm down it's very possible to have rain in one part of a city and snow in another area...
  10. BBC National forecast has snow over Cardiff for most of the day tomorrow, but at the same time stressing 'it may not be exactly where it's shown here'. So still lots of uncertainty just a day before.
  11. Looks like there's a few showers in the Bristol channel
  12. Was quite vague and shown over most of Wales, so probably won't end up like that. If you go onto Iplayer and watch BBC1 live you can rewind to just before twenty past twelve when I think it was on.
  13. Bit of light sleet here and lots of dripping, sounds like a thaw!
  14. Tuesday is 3 days away. When we think about Friday's event, and what we knew about it on Tuesday just gone, there were frequent changes to the forecast... so still low confidence for another say 24-36 hours.
  15. Yes I noticed that too, nothing on the radar though for some reason :S
  16. In these events precipitation can appear very suddenly, as pressure is generally low around us, so we may be getting more snow that we don't know about yet.
